Joe III is a line bred Kuykendall dog going back to the Chuck and Katie mating several times on the pedigree. This is typical of the type of matings we strive to produce to get tough, tenacious dogs with no give up in the psyche. Joe heavily favors his grandsire Joe in makeup and mentality. He is able to move stock from a good distance away, as he exudes power in both his eye and approach.
A dominant dog, he doesn’t play well with others. He does however pass on his excellent working skills, toughness and tenacity to his offspring. In Joe and his line bred descendents, you can see the characteristics of the original dogs in Henry’s early breeding program of the 60’s and 70’s. A great dog to put back onto the Thomas bred bitches.
